Andrea Godfread-Brown dedicates her practice to immigration law, specializing in employment-based applications, including J-1 Physicians, Professors, Researchers, H-1Bs and employment-based Permanent Resident applications. Before joining Brown Palumbo, Ms. Godfread-Brown was of-counsel at Hancock Estabrook where she represented local engineering and tech companies, large hospital clients and other local businesses with their hiring and immigration concerns.

Ms. Godfread-Brown has extensive experience with the immigration needs for business purposes for small to large employers in the engineering and technology fields.  While at Syracuse University, she worked closely with the Engineering and IT departments in obtaining H-1B and TN visas for their researcher and professor.  Since being in private practice, she has successfully handled numerous H-1Bs and TNs for local companies for positions such as Software Engineer, Mechanical Engineers, and Computer Systems Programmers. Ms. Godfread-Brown is also extensively experienced in obtaining PERM/Labor Certifications for tech companies.

In addition, she served as Associate Director of Syracuse University’s Slutzker Center for International Services from 2001- 2008 where she was responsible for all employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions (work visas and green cards) filed by the University, including Outstanding Professor/Researcher, PERM based EB-2, EB-1, O-1s, TNs and H-1Bs.  She also worked with the F-1 and J-1 student population on SEVIS, regulatory and employment advising.
